The vision of the Feed Communities Neighborhood Garden is to create long-term food security by providing the opportunity and knowledge to grow organic, safe, nutritious and sustainable food in a community environment.
We welcome all community members to grow with us regardless of gardening experience. Families welcome!
What We Offer:
Neighborhood Gardeners are welcome to cultivate 1 or 2 raised garden beds.
o Reservations are first come first serve.
o The beds will be watered on a timer with drip irrigation so clients will not have watering responsibilities.
Gardeners have access to general tools when they work in their gardens.
Gardeners have access to Feed Communities staff and in house resources for garden support during specific hours. Ex. Referencing our gardening books and asking general gardening questions.
First time gardeners will receive a garden orientation and run through of general garden basics.
Garden classes and workshops will be offered seasonally. Most will be free of charge.
Our sliding scale ranges from $0 to a $20 suggested price for growers.
o You decide how much you pay for the space you cultivate.
o All funds will go toward water bills and general garden maintenance.
